Securing your practitioner account with 2-step verification

Overview

Protect sensitive information in your Fullscript account by adding 2-step verification in a few quick steps! You can get peace of mind knowing that your financial, staff, and patient data is protected by an added layer of security. 

When you set up 2-step verification on Fullscript, you’ll be asked to choose one of two security methods:

  • Authentication app: (recommended) Download an authentication app, such as Google Authenticator, Microsoft Authenticator, LastPass Authenticator, or Twilio Authy Authenticator, to receive login codes. 
  • SMS: We’ll send a text with a verification code to the phone number associated with the account.

Setting up 2-step verification from your Account settings page

To set up 2-step verification:

  1. Click Settings under the Manage heading in the navigation bar.
  2. Click Account.

  4. Under the Login information, find 2-step verification and click Set up.

  5. Choose the security method you want to use and follow the on-screen instructions.

Enabling 2-step verification: Authenticator app option

You can choose to enable 2-step verification and log in with one-time codes generated by an authenticator app, such as Google Authenticator, Microsoft Authenticator, LastPass Authenticator, or Twilio Authy Authenticator.

To enable 2-step verification using an authenticator app:

  1. From your Account settings page, click Set up, then Use an authenticator app.
  2. Click Next.
  3. Download or open the authenticator app on your mobile device.
  4. Click Next on the web app.

  5. Using your mobile device, scan the QR code or manually enter the code in your authenticator app.
  6. Click Confirm.

  7. Copy your backup code or take a screenshot of it and store it in a private folder on your device.

Tip!

You can always access your code by signing into your Fullscript account, going to Security under your Account settings, and clicking Manage next to 2-step verification.

Enabling 2-step verification: SMS option

You can enable 2-step verification and log in with one-time codes sent to your phone via SMS.

Tip!

If you’ve previously unsubscribed from SMS messages or you aren’t receiving SMS messages, please try texting “fs” or “subscribe” to +1 (343) 700-4381.

To enable 2-step verification using SMS:

  1. From your Account settings page, click Set up, then Use text message.
  2. Click Next.
  3. Enter your mobile number to receive a one-time code.

  5. Enter the code sent to your mobile device and select Next.

  6. Copy your backup code or take a screenshot of it and store it in a private folder on your device.

Note:

 You can always access your code by signing into your Fullscript account, going to Security under your Account settings, and clicking Manage next to 2-step verification.

Logging in with a one-time code

When 2-step verification is enabled, we’ll ask you for a one-time code in addition to your password each time you sign in to confirm your identity.

To log in with your one-time code:

  1. Log into your Fullscript account with your email address and password.
  2. Enter the one-time code that was sent to your phone or generated from your authenticator app.
  3. Click Next.

Tip!

If you are unable to access your phone or authenticator app, click Use backup code to sign in.

Disabling 2-step verification

Disable 2-step verification at any time by returning to the Security tab on your Account settings page. Click Manage next to the 2-step verification heading, then click Disable.
