Apple single sign-on (SSO)
Overview
Apple Single Sign-On (SSO) allows iOS users to sign in to multiple apps and websites using their Apple ID, saving time creating and remembering separate usernames and passwords for each service. We’ve integrated Apple SSO into our sign-up and sign-in processes, allowing users to enjoy a faster, easier, and more secure login experience.
Choosing Apple SSO to set up your account
When signing up as a new practitioner, creating a new dispensary, or signing up for your patient account from a landing page, you can select Continue with Apple to create the account and, moving forward, use SSO to log in.
Clicking Continue with Apple to set up an account with Apple SSO.
Apple’s ‘Hide my email’ feature
Fullscript now supports Apple’s ‘Hide my email‘ feature during signup. This feature generates a unique email address that forwards messages to your personal inbox, allowing you to read and respond while keeping your email address private.
You can use Apple’s ‘Hide My Email’ feature in most scenarios, such as creating a new dispensary or signing up for a patient account via a landing page. However, there are specific scenarios where this feature won’t be available:
Additional practitioner or staff sign-ups
‘Hide my email’ isn’t available for additional practitioners or staff members who are being added to a dispensary.
Patient sign-ups via email invitation
Patients signing up via invitation from their practitioner can’t use the ‘Hide my email’ function. If you’ve received an email or text invite and attempt to create your account with Apple’s ‘Hide my email’ feature, you won’t have access to the information your practitioner has uploaded for you.
Signing in to existing accounts using Apple SSO
The next time you log in to Fullscript from the login page, select Continue with Apple to log in to Fullscript using your Apple ID. The email address used on your Apple ID must be the same as the one you use to log in to Fullscript.
